| k this kinda thread is hit or miss usually... basically its a place for people to post something cool that they've been working on either recently or ages ago, doesnt matter. some people do cars, some people do houses, doesnt really matter what youre restoring, just something. i do guitars and computers, so ill start it off.  thats my "Frank" - Frankenstein. Rescued this monster from going to a dumpster behind a Murphy's up north in indiana, so for those interested, its a 2009 Ibanez Gio. So far in the 2 years ive been restoring it, ive put in fresh ibanez pickups (standards) - 1 dual, and 2 single coils, both new 750k ohm crunch pots (taper and volume of course), new BC Rich knobs since the old ones were stripped, new strap locks, a fresh set of tune keys, a new harness for the inside, and put a string muter on the neck at the top. Whenever I get the spare cash and time, I plan on putting in a whole new ebony neck with a more slender feel, new custom pickup selecter, and possibly some artwork for the body.  pickups - gold rivets and slightly worn in after some time - bad shot for the strings, theyre actually only a week old lol...  strap locks ftw  new tune keys/string muter  fresh BC Rish custom knobs... mmmmmm, BC Rich doubting that anyones really into this stuff, i didn't bother with the harness or pots cause those are a pain to get to without putting in a new backplate, so i didn't wanna bother atm xD | |
